Here’s my take, for what it’s worth; this is not part of Project 2025, is it? I think these are Trump’s personal maunderings and obsessions about taking over other countries, and the people pulling his strings are indulging him to keep him happy and preoccupied while they do whatever it is that they want, and stays out of their way.
If Trump is gone, and there’s a good chance they declare him not competent to continue on, unless this benefits the puppet masters, it will go away.
The latest from Stacey Abrams covers the DOGE actions, impact of the administration’s approach on security, and potential future risks. What I appreciated were the strategies described for those who are feeling overwhelmed, encouragement to remain engaged, and suggestions for actions we can take / groups to support to continue the fight. There are also resistance groups mentioned in the comments:
This video from The Roads with Belle discusses lawsuits filed to stop the coup / executive orders. It highlights cases and rulings. It’s clear more groups are working to push back than is generally covered by the media:
While this may sound easy for many Americans, the reality is that more than 140 million American citizens do not possess a passport and as many as 69 million women who have taken their spouse’s name do not have a birth certificate matching their legal name.
Great way to keep women from voting. God, the unmitigated gall!
It may benefit the puppet masters if they feel it’s a valuable part the massive shell game they’re playing; keep the people focused on the batshittery of conquering or otherwise acquiring other nations and not on what’s happening under their noses.
Reading the information, that would serve to disenfranchise far more red state voters than blue. (States that are more rural tend to have a lower percentage of the population with passports.) I hate this plan because this is just another way to take away voting rights, but it still seems like a bad move.
Of course it’s also pretending like we’re going to have a vote.
On the one hand, I hope you’re right. On the other, I can’t help but wonder that’s how we got here, e.g. the Tea Party, Birtherism, up thru Pizzagate & beyond, all that’s a fine distraction to fleecing the populace – so long as the cranks’ interests don’t actually conflict with those of the real PTB. I dont guess they actually counted on Trump being elected in 2016 & they keep playing with fire because it hasnt burned them, yet. Right up to the point where their money’s no good for anything ‐ “hey, don’t eat ME! I’ll pay you, I hMMMmphggrrg”
Additionally, I think that Elon Musk is a Black Swan in all of this; I don’t think the Republicans ever planned on the richest man in the world becoming the shadow president, and it remains to be seen if all their agendas run in the same direction. All roads lead to Putin, but who is the ultimate puppet master; Putin or Musk? Probably each one thinks he is manipulating the other.
Why is it that nobody brings up the current trade agreement? I’m sure arbitrary tariffs run counter to some part of it. Use the dispute resolution mechanism included therein (there is one isn’t there?) and stop trying to appease Trump.
He is going to do whatever he wants regardless. Stop making border security promises and recall everyone talking trade. Tell them that Trump’s justifications are based on lies and, therefore, meaningful action cannot be taken.
Ignore his noise and quietly prepare for the invasion. The way everyone runs around like chickens with their heads cut off every time he blurts out some bullshit drives me nuts.
Aviation folks: The squawk code isn’t one of the distress or emergency codes (starting at 7000), so the pilot likely hasn’t indicated any sort of emergency, true?
Photo from Kennedy’s swearing in. The more I look at this picture, the more bizarre it looks. That’s Cheryl Hines in the polka dotted blouse. Appearance wise, she seems to have adopted the MAGA look.
