We discussed this elsewhere when talking about the figure of Nixon. Nixon and Reagan loved their country and did what they though it was best for it – even if they had the wrong vision. That’s clearly not the case here. There is only room for one thing in 47’s shriveled, blackened blood pump.

That reminds me that Trump still hasn’t appointed a new ambassador to Germany. Last time it was Grenell who everyone hated. This time he seems to have forgotten about us, so that the previous person is still in charge. Alan Meltzer is a career diplomat and as chargé d‘affaires currently heads the US embassy in Berlin since the previous ambassador resigned. Both are Biden appointees.
Not having an open far right cheerleader like Grenell in the country is definitely good for Germany, especially during this election. On the other hand it really shows how important they think we are at the moment (i.e. not at all).

UVA Health set to resume transgender care services.
The bureaucracy at UVA drives me nuts at times, but I do appreciate that they have principles that they are willing to stand up for. I wonder how much of a price we will pay when Trump’s minions get a hold of this.

If that’s the case then Putin wins. He is far, far better at this manipulation stuff than Skum ever will be. Skum’s manipulation capabilities are purely derived from his wealth. Putin is a trained (KGB) professional in this art.

This argument is being made more often now. That somehow educating folks about their rights is inherently criminal, since it is “aiding and abetting the commission of a crime.” By this argument, every law school should be shut down and every professor arrested for committing this crime. Knowing your rights is a crime now. But this is all normal, right?
