The goddamn Trump Administration

And when the rest of Europe comes to its aid (as has happened in the past) …

Tramp’s not going to have any trouble hiring enough goons for his total crackdown, is he.

Gawd, I hate living in interesting times. Every year is a new historic event, and not in a good way.

And they’re not even wrong, or exaggerating this time.

I’m tempted to reply, “Hell, every day in my book!”

But then, yesterday’s debacle especially felt like a day that will be remembered for decades. A glaring moment of American infamy.

Thanks for this site. I see that my area’s water is worse than I thought. I filter it, but I suppose I should look into “reverse osmosis” for better purity.

He just brought out into the open what the Dulles brothers were doing in the dark. I think Ike felt that if he didn’t know any details, it was okay.

Now, this next bit is going to sound odd, but: What if fred, sr. had been focused on the military instead of real estate? What if donnie had somehow become a general in the army - and THEN ran for POTUS after he retired and won? That to me is scarier that him as he is now. So I’m grateful that history didn’t take that turn.

The only general who made the best POTUS was Geo. Washington.

RO is (I admit) wasteful in terms of total amount of “water in - water out” but it does get a lot of the bad contaminants out. Most filters are just for T & O (taste and odor) and remove some things like chlorine and maybe some heavy metals.

If you want to get a solid sense of your baseline water quality, you might consider testing. We did.

We went for the full array of tests. It’s more expensive. OTOH, our water is now 100% collected off our roof. We have no other source (no city water, no well). So yeah we had questions.

Tap Score has detailed, relatively clear instructions on pulling samples, the protocol, and getting it in the mail. I’d do it ASAP since the weather is not too hot yet. You need to keep those samples cold (they provide ice packs, but still, better to ship the samples during the U.S. "winter"time).

Good luck.

I visited a nice old town near a river in Kansas a few years ago. Our host said that the town’s water has year after year won prizes for taste and clarity in national taste-offs (or whatever). Their water tasted great to me. But.

“Infamy” is what I was thinking too. Zelenskyy is now the leader of the free world, as far as I’m concerned, if it can be said to have “a” leader.

Yikes.
Maybe have your sick bag nearby.
It’s… weird. FTA:

Berger’s interests extend beyond his staunch social conservatism. He and the donor who owns the house, Lee Beaman, have publicly advocated together for numerous specific policy changes, including a bill that would make it easier to fire federal employees and a regulation that would reduce fuel efficiency standards for the automotive industry. After the 2020 election, they both signed a letter declaring that President Donald Trump was the rightful winner and calling for Congress to overturn the results.

Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, did not respond to questions about how he ended up staying at the home. Beaman did not respond to requests for comment.

Wait–what? How do fuel efficiency standards get in the way of Christofascism?

Oh.

If anything might cause Comrade Krasnov to have a spontaneous stroke, that would be it. Delicious.

Is :cuba: still training :us: doctors? The last article I could find was pre-pandemic. IIRC the program started after Hurricane Katrina and was a state-level program brokered by the governors of some of the southern states.
