Sometimes the toys would drive the franchise. For things Ghostbusters, they’d introduce toys with new and more involved and more specialised equipment and suits, then The Real Ghostbusters would have an episode featuring that kit, once and only once.
to which I say, “AWK! AWK!”

No one-box? Grrr.
World’s smallest penguins. Worth the time and money to go here if you can, but be forewarned: no cameras (even without flash) after sunset (which is long before it gets dark) and the parade doesn’t start until it actually gets dark (defensive behavior, to keep from being picked off by birds of prey) so it’s pretty late for little ones.
It’s a very nice little early '30s mystery. Ms Oliver and Mr Gleason make a charming if unlikely crime-solving couple.
The other films in the series are also recommended
i just sent that vid to my brother.
Dear Brother just loooves a “cosy mystery” and ThinMan Nick & Nora movies.
i had to do some 'splaning as to just where i came upon this gem i was sending him, but really… how do you explain the Penguin Thread to the uninitiated?
he will enjoy the movie.
I haven’t been to the Phillip Island penguin parade since my kids were little, but there’s a growing colony at St Kilda (10 mins from the Melb CBD, compared to three hour drive to Phillip Island). It’s occupying a breakwater that was built for the 1956 Olympics, and because there’s a long, open pier to get there they’re protected from dogs, cats and foxes. Apparently they’re healthier and fatter than the Phillip Island colony so they’ve done well.
The last time we were there was during the day so we weren’t expecting to see any, but someone obviously couldn’t be bothered going fishing and spent the afternoon at home.
Yes, anyone who’s hardcore into Nick ‘n’ Nora will also enjoy that series.
…and any weirdo who likes penguies will love this thread
I was very confused about how penguins got on a plane in the US.
