Yep.
Nature has tendencies to replicate particular patterns, but those are not absolute. Humans look at those patterns and categorize them, which helps us understand the world.
The trouble is when we start believing in the categories more than the reality. Punishing those who don’t conform to the categories, and using the categories as a tool of oppression.

I thought about a no-labels approach. But some labels (especially “nonbinary”) were liberating rather than confining. They helped me realize there are other people who have this in common, and that other ways of thinking are possible,
It’s a difficult thing to say “I, one person, am right in my feelings about who I am… while the society of billions who taught me almost everything I know, is wrong.” It is easier when you realize that, at the least, there are tens of thousands of others with you. That you’re part of a natural pattern, even if it’s a relatively rare occurrence.
