Laverne Cox dishes on her steamy sex life & how sheâs âhealingâ from past relationships
Replace her with Lux Pascal and all is well!
I donât think i ever held Caitlyn Jenner in any kind of esteem, low or high. Seeing how her and her family were chasing fame and headlines early on was enough for me to erase them all from my reality filter.
Last night I thought I was going to Chicago for a stop on a book tour by Charlie Jane Anders. When I got there I was a week early, but stayed for the story telling event that was being held and had a wonderful time. (This wasnât the event I had planned, but Iâm glad I came here anyway.)
Women and Children First bookstore is in Andersonville, a very lovely and queer positive area in Chicago. When I parked I noticed the two people wearing furry tails and rainbow accessories outside the bar Iâd parked next too. As I got out, one of them said how much she loved my vanity plate (âBIGWOOFâ) and I told them both how much I liked their outfits. It was a nice friendly exchange and really typical for what Iâve encountered in that neighborhood â itâs always affirming to me!
After the event, I headed back over to my car and saw that the crowd spilling out of the bar was almost exclusively trans fems, many with furry type accessories or other amazing outfits. I stopped and talked to someone wearing beautiful deer antlers close to my car, explaining I had been there for a different event, but âWhatâs this gathering because this is very much my kind of crowd!â
She explained it was âDollâs Nightâ at the bar, a trans fem takeover that happens every Thursday night. I laughed and said I would definitely keep that in mind for the future. She then asked if I was there for the Charlie Jane Anders event. I explained I was, but then told her about the mix up on the dates. As it turned out, sheâs a friend of Charlies, so thatâs just one more point for the interconnectedness of some of my communities.
I love the support I get from my cis friends and family, and a lot of my friends are trans, but thereâs something very positive about seeing that many of us being out, loud, and proud!
Sounds super fun, wish i could experience that bar
