As if that wasn’t eye rolling enough, there’s this line at the end of the article:
If he can’t force retired FAA employees to return to service, the public will simply have to live with a level of danger in commercial air travel that hasn’t been seen for decades.
Really? Those are the only two choices we have? Because I’m more than reasonably sure we have lots of other options available that doesn’t end with increased danger in commercial air traffic or musk retaining any semblance of power.
Well should fly isn’t the same as “absolutely don’t.” My taste for flying was severely soured after 9/11, but I would still fly occasionally. (Although after I started transitioning, I stopped flying completely.)
Scene: Local pub last night, older, friendly crowd, live music.
Friend of ours, to a woman up with whom a conversation had been struck: You look familiar.
Reply: Maybe, I’m a flight attendant on Air Canada, have been for the past 30 years.
Friend: Which routes?
Reply: redacted.
Me: So you get to avoid airspace, eh?
Reply: Don’t even get me started…
Narrator: Clearly there was much to say, but it was not the time.
