Transphobic events

I have posted the research papers demonstrating that neural architecture of trans women is objectively female, and that of trans men is objectively male, but the “brain in a box” analogy posted recently works as well with less need to explain sciency stuff. But honestly, most folks asking those questions will not accept any answer i could give, they think it’s a “gotcha” question. It’s actually a demonstration of their ignorance.

While I find it plausible his quotes were taken out of context, I don’t know know anything about A4TE so I don’t know if I trust them either.

People will call one of the most transphobic men on the planet a sissy because no matter how long his list of sins and truly repugnant views, the worst thing a man could ever be, even to the “supportive”, “progressive” liberals, is a gross tranny freak.

I don’t feel like posting the image that’s being referenced in this skeet (you can click on the link to see it), but basically a bunch of the #resist liberal accounts have started calling Elon Sissy SpaceX

Shut up Norman. Stick to critiques of Israel and being denied tenure by right wing assholes… :rage: Now I kind of wonder if he get denied tenure for reasons other than his principled stance on Israel and Palestine… It’s always been understood as a denial based on that, and I have little doubt it’s factor, but he’s not the only vocal critique of Israel and others have gotten tenure despite that…

I’ve never understood the whole ‘lifelong medical patient’ issue. Lots of people are in that situation, but it’s trans people they take issue with because they think it’s a choice. It’s not a choice, and trying to deny it does more harm than injecting myself once a week.

Everyone is a lifelong medical patient- exams, flu shot, seasonal allergies.

If you’re not getting regular medical care- you’re neglecting yourself.

Yeah, but they’re going to argue it’s medical care for many different issues… sigh

I was diagnosed with diabetes the day before my 25th birthday, so I’ve been doing way more than one shot a week for almost 30 years now. For some reason, I’ve never been referred to as a “lifelong medical patient” for that, although I will never be off of insulin from an external source. I guess I only became such a patient three years ago when I started physically transitioning?

I have a transgender niece and she is fully accepted by her parents and brother. I know she is lucky, because so many parents are not as supportive.

That sounds like a threat.

Am I allowed to stand my ground

That adult care is being harmed by the ban on care for children isn’t surprising. Heartbreaking but not surprising.

Something I’ve always appreciated about the coverage at the Texas Tribune is the way they cover transgender stories. Anytime an article discusses the ban on transition care for children and minors, anytime an article discusses the bathroom ban bills, or any other proposed legislation, the Texas Tribune always makes sure to point out that the medical experts have found that providing transition care is in the best interests of trans people and the standard of care they need.
In this particular article, from my perspective, it seems like the Texas Tribune has really centered the experience of a trans person in Texas and his struggle to get care. The tone seems to be very affirming. I really appreciate that.

After years stuck in the tunnel, Zicko came into the light and started living as the trans masculine person he always knew he was. He got a job, found a community and reconnected with his dad. He finally got his dad’s support by framing it as an issue of personal freedom from government oversight, which seemed to do the trick.
