Dammit, my search fu is failing me. There was an Over The Hedge, at least I think it was, where they proved Goofy was the JFK assassin.
From the wording at the start, I was at least expecting it to be Assassin’s Creed or something. Going from that lede to “child friendly” is such a change in tone.
Same here.
My first thought when I heard “Among Us” was “It can’t possibly be that slow a news day.” My second thought was “For some reason, some corporate news outlets are working very hard to build a bad-guy narrative about a guy who shoots a CEO.”
I strongly suspect he also drinks dihydrogen monoxide.
Fake news! He drink hydroxic acid.
Hydrogen hydroxide?
And about 1/5000 of the hydrogen is deuterium, which is an ISOTOPE!! Used in NUCLEAR reactors!!!
How many incipient terrorists have played Final Fantasy VII?
Sovereign Citizens Convicted of Trying to Kidnap Coroner They Accused of Necromancy
The leader of the Essex group, an idiot named Mark Christopher, had declared himself the “chief judge” of a “Federal Postal Court” and also “Sheriff-Coroner: England and All Dominions.” Not that he had any legal authority or legitimacy for this, but he did get a logo made that he stuck to the side of his car (see above), so I guess that’s something. Apparently, having declared himself “Sheriff-Coroner,” he could brook no other coroners within his domain, and so off they went to arrest the closest one.
The senior coroner at that location had previously received threatening letters from the group, accusing him of being a “detrimental necromancer.” “I thought this was odd, to say the least,” the senior coroner told the BBC, in what seems like a very British thing to say.
At trial, the defendants’ testimony was about as coherent as you’d expect. In general they claimed to have been trying to “shed light” on the “fraud” perpetrated by the court, although one also “claimed to have been acting with King Charles III’s approval to tackle ‘state child trafficking.'”
Oh, man… I really thought the whole SovCit scam was a USAian thing. I apologize for infecting your fine British minds with this contagion.
It’s disappointing that they’ve gone from queueing to q-ing.
Honestly I’m ok with them putting whatever in Fortnite. If you like them you can get them for yourself, and if not…well, the main point of the game is to shoot things. It’s for the best they don’t have political figures but a friend has told me how much they wish they’d add Richard Nixon.
I don’t play Fortnite, although I have friends that do and more power to them. My current game of choice is City of Heroes: Homecoming, a free superhero MMO (I’ll spare the history in this post, but there’s a bit of history to this game.) While you can’t punch Nixon or even Theodore Roosevelt, you can punch a variety of fascists!
You’ve got The 5th Column (WW II leftovers,) the Council (broke off from 5th Column so they could be worse,) Axis America (alternate world: Nazis won), and a few others. I’ve got to admit there’s something cathartic about setting virtual fascists on fire.
I don’t think any of the women in the image would have been old enough to participate in the original Occupy Wall Street events… they look like they are all like 18 at most.
Not a dumb thing read, but a dumb thing heard in person. So, the woman I’m a caregiver for, Maryanne, has chronic pain due to a number of issues. So she’s had a prescription for Percocet for years, and she sees a pain specialist monthly. Since we recently moved back to Missouri, she is now seeing the same pain specialist she saw when we lived here 5 years ago. She had her first visit with her last week, and we were catching her up on Maryanne’s health issues over the past 5 years. One of those was that Maryanne had multiple pulmonary embolisms in January of this year. When she heard this, the doctor said, “Did you get the COVID vaccine?” We replied that Maryanne has had every COVID vaccine except for the most recent. At which point this “doctor” proceeded to tell us that it has been proven definitively that the COVID vaccine causes blood clots and that the CDC is covering it up. Goddammit, this is a DOCTOR. She actually has an MD. Fuck.
Sadly, having some kind of advanced degree does not guarantee that some people will be immune from misinformation. She seems to be confusing the fact that COVID can cause blood cots with the vaccine…
Can you find a new doctor for her pain management, if you need to?
