Um.... what.... aka, this is the dumbest thing I've ever read

all the records were destroyed in the flood.

Not all the records. Any map showing Tartary or Tartaria is obviously genuine, especially if it shows North America as part of Tartary. But everything else is fake. And cave paintings in particular are fake.

That’s my take on Von Danikenism generally.

Once upon a time ago, I’d have found amusement in something like Tartaria.

I think it ends up being akin to the world building you do for an RPG. A fun “What if…”

But, Poe’s Law has taken the fun out of it.

I used to think that way from a strictly biological point of view, until I became enlightened.

Plus, they have it backward? Trans men are men, it’s there in the name, but whoever-that-is is saying that a trans man cannot be a woman, and… I mean, isn’t that… what it means?

Ah yes, @jerwin’s ahead of me.

People like this are all over the world. You never know where they’ll show up.

“I could not leave the house even though I had committed no crime,” Bocelli said.

He also admitted to disobeying lockdown rules and believing the severity of the pandemic had been overblown.

His comments will surprise many as he had become a symbol of national unity at the height of the lockdown.

Bocelli made the remarks at a conference in Italy’s Senate attended by opposition politicians including Matteo Salvini, leader of the far-right League party.

Ok, I know this is Daily Fail, but… they literally say multiple times in the article that the Republicans want to cut the $600-per-week to $200, while simultaneously trying to write as though Democrats don’t want to agree to the $600 amount and that Democrats are being obstructionist. It’s like they tried to spin to both parties at the same time, and never mind about the cognitive dissonance…

It’s not called Liberty University for nothing.

The martinets at Liberty University would have issued 965 “Points”, $9195 in fines, and 900 hours of community service if Fallwell was a student

Battleships are obsolete. The nearest equivalent is probably an oversized aircraft carrier. And here’s a jingoistic article admiring an aircraft carrier do high speed turns.. Yes, container ships are notoriously reluctant to make maneuvers, but they aren’t designed for combat,

The German High Seas Fleet made a series of coordinated turns to escape the British at Jutland. But I guess it would make more sense to compare the Trump administration to the British Mediterranean Fleet in 1893…

If things people download on their internet connections are using public rights of way, then Net Neutrality and a bunch of other competition-boosting stuff should be in full force on those connections, dammit.

Haven’t read the article yet, but I know there are at least 4 cities in Indiana doing this…ah, never mind, that’s EXACTLY what the article is about!

Fishers is a white upper middle class suburb just outside of Indianapolis, if anyone’s wondering. Evansville & Valpo I’m surprised at. Why not Bloomington or Gary? Oh, wait…they’re reliably Democratic. So, this is a Republican thing, to make more money.

So apparently the mail issues aren’t because of Trump and Dejoy. They’re because of Biden and the Pope!

“Its because the Pope is Post Master General of the western world Actually maybe the whole world now.”

Biden is Catholic, so of course he’s an agent of the Pope, while Trump and Dejoy are just trying to restore American sovereignty.
