Despite climate change and a pandemic…the stupidity of the human race still survives. It is the cockroach in the menagerie of human traits.
And I was wondering: Is “dumb” on the list of inappropriate insults, as it was once used to describe those who were unable to speak?

It’s not a good one.
I prefer “willfully ignorant” because it’s not ableism based and it separates such folks from those who are uninformed through no effort of their own. “Ignorance” is a state of knowledge and not an intellectual ability.

Well, he is clearly not impressed.
The Court does not take defendant’s willingness to flout the Court’s Order lightly. […] directs defendant to show cause in writing, no later than ten (10) days from this date, why the Court should not revoke her pre-trial release, order her detained pending trial, or hold her in contempt.
And possibly an additional “dumbest thing” contender…
[…] When Pre-Trial Services asked defendant where the mask was, defendant responded that she “threw it away per her attorney’s advisement.” […] In defendant’s show-cause filing, defense counsel shall include an explanation for his alleged instruction to his client to dispose of evidence of her non-compliance with a Court ordered condition of pre-trial release.
