How close are the two parties in ideology?

  1. Many Congressional candidates do not list their party affiliation in their Twitter bio.

  2. In order to tell which party they belong to, you usually have to scroll through their feeds until you find a post overtly praising Trump/Biden/Pelosi. The other posts are generally indistinguishable.

Often also true of the official Congress/Senate web page for elected and sitting members. It’s been very annoying. Wikipedia usually comes through.
