I’m not sure if he’s advocating as much as describing? He’s a historian of nazi germany, and I’ve noticed that people who study nazi germany tend to be more into the US acting as a benevolent imperial power as a result, or at least be pretty strong advocates for liberal democracy as the best system out of them all.
