But when I bring up how much of European (ethno-nationalist) politics rely on shielding themselves with American hate websites while organizing their movements there, it gets dismissed by the usual Freeze Peach crowd.
To be clear, I am not taking AT&T Time Warner’s side. I am not in favour of media monopolies, period. But people need to stop thinking that the government’s actions here are in any way about preventing a monopoly.
This is not a “bust 'em all up” move. This is about creating a state propaganda system with no viable alternative voice. I know it’s easy to say “Fuck those guys,” when it comes to ATT/TW/Comcast, but it’s vital to keep an eye on the actual slight og hand, not just stand slack-jawed staring at the trick.
