Australia has been a prison continent since long before humans climbed down out of trees.

Whenever a species got too murderous for nature to tolerate, it got sentenced to transportation, and thus the balance of the rest of the planet was preserved.

Sadly, nature didn’t send humans there in time to preserve the balance.

It kinda did…eventually. Before the Australian Aborigines arrived, the kangaroos were carnivorous and the wombats were the size of cars.

The goannas used to get up to five metres long, too.

The biggest lesson from Trump should be that more of the country than (white) people realized is explicitly against America being a place for all. Not that America isn’t a place for all (I mean as an ideal not a reality), or that Trump is uniquely racist in speech and policy (we know the policy history). Trump is the proof that the majority of the US population, and 95% of its geography is not for everyone by design.
