But you have who the “corporate Democrat” is backwards unless you have read something really in the weeds. Evans is the expanded Medicare, cover all students for college, etc. group while Abrams is the ACA, cover all students for college, etc. group. And both are long entrenched in the state’s politics.

EDIT

I mean Abrams is literally an endebtted business woman whose largest donors are the entire Soros family and businesses labeled under “miscellaneous finance.”

Gotta admit that I haven’t looked at the candidates closely. OTOH, Evans ain’t good; that MLK thing was a mess.

I’ll also note that Evans has been accusing Abrams of working with the GOP as the minority leader on issues such as shoring up the Hope Grant (whose funding comes out of the GA lottery and was teetering on the brink of not being viable at all before the legislature intervened - and Evans worked on the bill, too, but didn’t vote for it).

Some details on their debate:

I’m not surprised. Athens is a small town, but it has a small and vocal radical left presence. I’m just surprised that they got away with it in Clarkston, though not Decatur, since it’s become a haven for upper class whites who want a good school for their kids. Decatur would be much nicer without all those bourgeoisie.

That’s awesome. I love how they are always pushing for a more inclusive, representative show. Good on them.

Pocket change. As expected.

Again: yes, there’s some obvious personal dodginess between Trump and Putin. But the overwhelming majority of the Russiagate hype is pure nonsense, cynically manufactured by the CorpDems in order to obscure their own criminality.

Mostly staying clear of the Haspel threads at the other place; I’m finding it a bit difficult to avoid screaming at the torture apologists.

LibTwitter theme of the day: minimising and excusing blatant and extreme racism.

Both Trump and the screaming lawyer are getting the treatment. Lots of “okay, he’s an asshole, but…”.
