Reagan shifted right on foreign policy, executive powers, and certainly on economic issues. Carter sure as hell didn’t lead Reagan there, and Nixon dove further right himself over Kennedy/Johnson.

Clinton certainly led the charge pushing the left rightward, but to say the GOP’s staggering success after the Covil Rights Act wasn’t the carrot seems a difficult task to prove. When was the last right-wing president that didn’t shift further to the right? Eisenhower? Cooledge?

I’m not sure how #2 doesn’t lead to #1 by default honestly. I’ve worked in corporate America and I doubt it is much different than having a 60 year old CIO.

Yup. Gerontocracy is not a good thing in a rapidly shifting world.

Note that he’s talking about the memes here. Buff Bernie etc. “Cyber 9/11”.

So, is McLaughlin:

  1. Delusional,

  2. An utter fool,

or

  1. Deliberately speaking nonsense in an effort to distort public opinion?

Somehow, I seem to remember, whenever Democrats think THEY are winning, at THOSE times anybody who questions the legitimacy of an election is a dangerous lunatic

“Maximally efficient markets”.

Although that view becomes rather nuanced during primaries.

A historical focal point:

The last few minutes discussing consequences are the key bit.

Small amount of animated graphics in the intro sequence.

That’s beautiful. Reminds me of the day the Berlin wall came down. It’s good to have some good news.

This is either malicious or ignorant.

The corruption of the US electoral process can not be casually wished away; democracy is not Tinkerbell.
