Incidentally, the “marketplace of ideas” phrase comes from the same USSC case that gave us “fire in a crowded theatre”.

Weren’t white-supremacist South Africa and Southern Rhodesia “reliable Cold War allies” like Fascist Spain, sado-monarchist Iran, etc.? Shouldn’t they be in blue?

I was thinking that myself, but there may have been some period of non-aligned status or something. Or just a stuffup by the mapmaker.

The fact that Zephyr Teachout was

(a) endorsed by the NYT, and

(b) appears to be drawing support from prominent wealthy centrists (Amy Schumer etc)

…is making me severely suspicious of Zephyr. Looks like a possible Trojan horse candidate.
