I was hoping Jill Stein would shut up and go away after it came out that Putin was supporting her and suddenly the Green Party started posting about how Russia had nothing to do with Trump. But she’s not wrong with this.

Although it is possible to question which party has the support of the Venezuelan majority [1], it is clear that there is significant support for Maduro.
This is not about one man; Chavismo is bigger than Maduro. Even if Maduro is forced from office, Venezuela will remain dangerously polarised.
[1] No-one knows for sure, thanks to the election boycotts. It seems to me that the most likely answer is “none of them”.
