Note that threadreaderapp now fights against the back button, meaning that if you want to return to the enter a thread page, it will flash and jump back to the last thread it unrolled or give a “something went wrong” error because that last bug failed to go wrong.

Idly musing:

Cold War America was most notable for its constant proxy wars. Some with direct US military involvement, some without.

But with the fall of the USSR, there was no-one left to have proxy wars with. The Chinese mostly weren’t interested after Korea.

So, the idle thought: to what extent are the War on Drugs and the War on Terror examples of the USA having proxy wars with itself?
