Just finished the second book in Sascha Stronach’s End song Trilogy, Sunforge. Excited for book three. Sometimes in a trilogy, the second book is kind of a letdown. This was definitely not! Devoured the entire thing in 3 days and it only took that long because I’m a working parent whose co-parent was sick. Also, I needed sleep.

First book is the Dawnhounds
I actually read the thanking people part at the end because, even though I did not know any of those people, it was really funny. If I did blueskye, I’d follow Sascha
Picked up this book. I was utterly confused by the book cover and had to flip through the copyright page to make sure I picked the correct book.
So a poll: based ONLY on the cover art, what would you think the name of the book is?

Have not seen that. Has to be a novelization of the movie?
Actually, it is Mickey 7, reprinted, but the book has terribly confusing cover art
Pretty cool interview!
So cool!
But also, how weird is this for you?
So, so very weird. Things i never thought would happen, but here we are. Exciting but weird.
Heh, I just got that same edition yesterday! And yes, felt similarly confused.
And then a bit miffed, really, for the author! I mean, I understand the marketing mandate, but still, I too have never seen a book title overshadowed like that by the movie title (granted, they’re usually the same). It even includes an interview with Director Ho, instead of with Author Ashton. Harrumph!
Anyway, looking forward for sure to reading it prior to seeing the movie.
Mickey 24, obviously.
That’s my last 36 years in a nutshell.
I am not, in fact, reading this right now. I read it over a year ago and just thought of it now because of the news that Cassandra Peterson was donating her Tesla to NPR. But I highly recommend it, especially the audiobook version narrated by Peterson herself! She really is amazing, and has remained strong and courageous in the face of more than her fair share of hardship and tragedy.
Just preordered the graphic novel adaptation of A Wizard of Earthsea.
The previews (is that the right word?) look gorgeous and my kid is a sucker for pretty graphic novels. She comes by it honestly.
As for me
Which, apart from the history and investigation, reveals quite how difficult it is to define what Romans laughed at.
