I’ve voted for very few Rs but I live in a state where there’s quite a bit of competition in D primaries so there’s a lot of charisma and foment. I love it. I vote hard left here.
It wasn’t always that way. The 90s were when nutbars were taking over the R party and disturbing things were coming out about the old guard on both R and D sides. Rich pedophiles on one side, rich grabby assholes on the other, and religious nutjobs trying to fit into a hole already claimed by hippies.
The hippies kind of won. Best of all available worlds, but there aren’t many other states that are as okay as us.
That said, there’s a reason I’ve decamped to the Biggish City. I grew up in hard right Qanon land around Roseburg.

My dad died of cancer in 1991, and my mom in 2017, so they almost bracketed that. It’s good to see that there’s progress. 31% is a huge deal. Worth celebrating.
Still got 69% to go though.

Two indictments mention manslaughter
Did cause the death of John Snyder on June 30, 2015 by the grossly negligent failure to perform the following legal duty, to-wit: failing to protect the health of the citizens ofMichigan and/or by the grossly negligent performance ofthat duty in accordance with the public health code; contrary to MCL 750.321. [750.321]
and similar counts for Debra Kidd, Brian McHugh, DuWayne Nelson, Peter Derscha, Thomas Mulcahy, Arthur Percy, and Patricia Schaffer.
Likewise, Nicolas Lyon
is charged with involuntary manslaughter of those same 9 people.
Snyder is charged with failing to supervise and failing to declare an emergency.
COUNT 1: WILLFUL NEGLECT OF DUTY
As Governor of the State of Michigan, a public officer, did willfully neglect his mandatory legal duty under Article V, section 8 and 10, of the Michigan Constitution, by failing to inquire into the performance, condition and administration of the public offices and officers that he appointed and was required to supervise; contrary to MCL 750.478.
COUNT 2: WILLFUL NEGLECT OF DUTY
As Governor of the State of Michigan, a public officer, did willfully neglect his mandatory legal duty to protect citizens of this state against disaster and/or emergency under Public Act 390 of 1976 (Emergency Management Act) by failing to declare a state of emergency and/or disaster when the Governor had notice of a threat of a disaster and/or emergency in the City of Flint; contrary to MCL 750.478.
