Morrison is little better, but at least it isn’t the Trumpish Dutton.

Dutton is an ex-cop, of course.

Morrison is the bastard who was in charge of this:

…until he was replaced by Dutton.

You sure that’s not just a form letter from a website?

Yes, on the outside it seems like a total clusterfuck, but I am very drunk on schadenfreude at this point in time. Seeing the brownshirt from Queensland march his jackboots up to the front only to be pipped by the least popular option for leader that the Liberals have…it’s like seeing Gussie Fink-Nottle tell Roderick Spode to fuck off.

I don’t know who those people/characters are. I’m just slightly relieved it’s not the proto-nazi potato as PM. Still hate and am disgusted by the Libs and their policies though.

If he had run into a logsplitter, there would have been little point to crying over split Malc either… How come Oz’s Liberals are such an illiberal lot? Doesn’t Australia have any truth-in-advertising laws?

Believe it or not, prior to 2007 we’d only had three PMs (Hawke/Keating/Howard) in twenty-four years.

Five since then, and some of those five had more than one go.

My old school, still as shitty as it always was.

(three year old story, to be clear; pre-PMage)

Context: local right-wing douche Mark Latham (who was previously the leader of the ALP, weirdly enough) is losing a defamation suit against a guy he accused of promoting terrorism.

I do enjoy the directness of some of the Australian judiciary.
