Is there usually more rainfall in September in Australia? I have no clue what would be considered normal.

September is usually among our driest months; this year has been our driest ever September.

It particularly matters because (a) spring rain is important for agriculture, and (b) a dry spring sets up our worst fire seasons. Low rain in September = forests set to go off like a bomb.

Cool! Thanks for the info… I’m afraid I know little about Australian weather patterns. And the Western US feels your pain about forest fires. I hope it’s not too bad.
