The first political protest I ever went to was a counter-march against a Fred Nile homophobia procession through Darlinghurst in the very early 90s.

There were the usual scuffles and arrests, but we did manage to fairly successfully disrupt their parade.

I don’t think the details of that are public yet.

OTOH, I did see something about him telling friends/accomplices to destroy evidence which was then not destroyed, so it seems likely that one of his buddies grew a conscience and decided to turn snitch.
