The Oz right has spent the last few days claiming that the UN listing of the Great Barrier Reef as endangered is a Chinese plot.
Meanwhile:
From a scientific perspective, the prospects of the reef could be described as “very obviously fucked, and has been for a long time”.
Those are certainly very real looking accounts and not bots at all.
It’s leading to some editorial cartoons that are almost as deranged as American ones.
