Fantastic. Great move. Well done Angus.

Oz media:

Although you wouldn’t pick it up from that article, the TPAQ are not actually the Queensland Teachers’ Union. They’re a recently-established pseudounion backed by the Oz right that are focusing on trying to attract membership via antivax and related nonsense.

  1. That’s actually an old tin mine, the colour is because of the exposed clay and toxic acidic water. Which makes the half of the comments referring to “pristine natural beauty” rather amusing.

  2. The other half of the comments look like this:

Screenshot as deletion insurance:

A Labor MP, coming out in public defence of a private for-profit business based upon minimally-paid imprisoned workers. Because the owner threw a tantrum after being reasonably criticised on Twitter by anti-poverty activists.

It’s a business which sells heavily overpriced and cheesily decorated pro-ALP tea towels and socks. If they actually had any motivation to assist convicts, they could easily employ them post-release for fair wages.

But that wouldn’t be anywhere near as profitable.
