It was a middle-aged white lady whose toddler grandson couldn’t pronounce “Grandma”!
Even better - she did some investigating, found out what “manga” was, and bought a book, enclosed a note in it to her grandson, and will give it to him when he’s old enough to understand it!
We had a whole nice conversation over it - it was such a COOL thing!
I remember watching this…making sure I didn’t miss it…when it first aired. Why? Look at the cast! But especially Harold Gould, over whom I nearly swoont! So handsome and dapper, a wonderful grandfather-figure for a girl who never got to know her own grandpas.
I found this 3x5 in my late mom’s bedroom a little while ago, along with some others that had typed or handwritten names and addresses of men my dad served with in WWII.
His b-day was 10/10/1923.
