I’m friends with John LaZar on Facebook. He was in “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls” as Ronnie “Z-Man” Barzell, as well as a bunch of flicks that are maybe B- or C-movies.
I’m watching a clip of “Maximum Revenge” that’s being Rifftraxed, and I shared it with him, hoping he wouldn’t get all Joe-Don-Baker on me. He didn’t. He thanked me.
No, not a big-major star, but for sure a cult-movie star. And a super-nice human being.

i remember my dad taking me to a special screening of Disney’s AiW at the Punch & Judy Theatre in Grosse Pointe, MI - which was also the venue midnight showings of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (“Let’s sit under the balcony”, I was told at my first viewing of the latter flick. “Why?” I asked. “You’ll find out.”, my companion replied. I was all of 15 years old.).

I love jumping rope. I should probably start doing it again. Plus, it’s all part of my vow to never, ever, ever, ever forget what it was like to be young having fun. And not being afraid to show it. Like, I don’t care if my neighbors think I’m a goof for watching honeybees or butterflies.
I never learned how to double-dutch, but I wonder if I could?
And yeah - it should be an Olympic sport; fuck, skateboarding is now!

This is going to involve some participation, but I promise you - it’ll be worth it!
So, earlier this afternoon my son and I go to our neighborhood Meijer and park in our usual spot, right by the crosswalk. There’s an SUV parked in front of us, a Buick I think, and it had the license plate, “MANGA”.
