And now for some good news

What I read there does sound like good news and I’d watch it. (Eventually, at least; I don’t watch a lot of television.)

… including, yes, Dolly Parton, executive producing with her company Sandollar.

Ooo!

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who would return to her iconic role. […] [as] a recurring role rather than leading the series.

I like that connection to the original series, the progress of character, and the focus being on a new generation of slayer. (Buffy as Giles? Hmm.)

Joss Whedon is not involved.

And there’s the best green flag of all!

The show’s writing was really great, independent of JW. Writers like Jane Espenson were key to the show’s snappy dialog and pacing, as well as subsequent shows like Angel and Firefly.

This still cracks me up. I like how they made fun of themselves and kept shooting even when the lead was injured and couldn’t get out of bed.

That walk! Why Gerry and Sylvia Anderson eventually switched to moving their puppets around in futuristic mobile chairs starting with Stingray… then full-blown in Thunderbirds. Walking is for cavemen!

As trolling goes, this is good news:

For years, officials in the Czech Republic had pushed a dam project to protect a river south of Prague, and the critically endangered species living in it. But the project stalled.

In the meantime, the beavers of Prague simply built dams themselves, saving the government some 1.2 million euros.

The courts will be clogged with all these lawsuits. By the time the rulings are handed down the damage will be done, and impossible to fix.

Is that supposed to be “good news”?

Sorry in return.

It was clearly out of line, so I removed it. :woman_shrugging: Just trying not to be an asshole.

Not easy these days, when the Shitshow Dial gets turned up every damn day.

But the good news is… :weary:

Coming soon: Texas and Florida school libraries make a big deal out of throwing out their dusty Encyclopedia Britannicas.

And feisty librarians march right out to the dumpster and take them back.

Or they will issue injunctions and stop them before the damage is insurmountable.

It really is difficult isn’t it to use this thread as intended.

Maybe I should delete my comment and look for a more appropriate topic to post it in.

Not my call (coz not my thread), didn’t mean to imply that I was calling for deletion.
