The absolutely dumb idea aside, how does getting funding from X instead of Y fix anything? The issue isn’t the money, as much as the strategy for fixing things… something he offers nothing on.
This is what I would like to see more reporting on. What is happening when they physically intimidate government employees and contractors to give them access to systems?
I think because they’re getting “points and loyalty miles” so turning this from tax money/government spend to charity.
And then saying said charity has a $25 billion cap is pretty wishful. Looks like Bono is a failed candidate in CA and also someone who’s done quite a few different charities over the years.

He also said that we’d have a gazillion of robotaxis by now and that Starship’s first mission to Mars would be in 2024.
However, I do think he’s both under pressure from people who would like to see Tesla continue being grotesquely overvalued and has started to realise that he needs this overvaluation himself to keep his empire going.
On the other hand, the timing and the narrative of stepping needs to be just so, otherwise he’s setting himself up to be the scapegoat for the rest of the “administration”; the old guy who everybody can blame for everything retroactively.
