About two weeks ago, I said I hoped that Kendrick Lamar performed Not Like Us at the half time show, and that I hoped he made a political statement⦠and he did both, just not overtly on the latter.
The main message?
For most Black people in America, life is just a rigged game.
The sooner White people realize itβs rigged against almost all of us, just worse for BIPOC, the better. Even the conventionally pretty White people with βgood jobsβ and a nice house are in a cage of their own making. Thatβs why so many are miserable.
Until weβre all free to be who we want, to love who we want, to do what makes us happy and feel valued, none of us are free.
Iβm not seeing the image, which is a shame because I bet itβs a good one.
