CRUISING (Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Some rather different Halloween music. Cruising isn’t often labeled horror, but it at least skirts the genre, and it certainly contains a lot of costumes.
While not really authentic to the milieu, that would be Donna Summer and KC and the Sunshine Band, the album’s still a really good portrait of a particular moment, with three numbers from CBGB mainstay Willy DeVille, John Hiatt performing in a style radically different from the rootsy material that brought him airplay in the late ‘80s, one of the last Germs recordings, and Mutiny, former P-Funk drummer Jerome Brailey’s go at cloning and dissing Dr. Funkenstein aka George Penitentiary, among the highlights.

OMG We LOL’d so hard!
I occ’ly write scripts for him, bidden and un-, and here’s the recentest one:
The Ghoul was a brilliantly warped, irreverent, puerile AF, iconoclastic Ohio/Detroit/environs TV horror host. He got started during the 70s. He often talked about Parma, OH, and bitterly complained when his skits weren’t stupid enough.
That’s great!
Very much appreciated, MerelyGifted!

My, I bet you monsters lead interesting lives. I said to my girlfriend just the other day - Gee, I’ll bet monsters are interesting, I said. The places you must go and the places you must see, my stars! And I’ll bet you meet a lot of interesting people, too. I’m always interested in meeting interesting people.
