Christmas again & gift ideas?

Anyone know of some gourmet food that one can order online and have sent? My besties don’t like a lot of stuff and tend to just buy what they need. I’m hoping for some tips on really delicious cookies, coffee chocolate, alcohol, tea, and such.

Edit to add,: all of us are in texas

I’ve bought from World Market for food gifts, preserved lemons, jams, oils. They pack things well and I’ve been pleased.

My mom’s gift last year was a selection of flavors in jars, and she liked it.

When you think chocolate, Dr. Bronners might not come immediately to mind, but theirs is amazing. The salted dark has been my favorite ever for awhile now.

I have not gotten their teas or coffee, but I get their socks each month and love them…

And all profits go to Partners in Health, of course…

These are great ideas, thanks. Zabar’s looks particularly promising. One of the couple is Jewish. Technically, our gift exchange are winter gifts to keep it non-denominational  Zabar has some tasting looking Hannukah gift baskets

That’s interesting.

Honestly, some of their soap seems good enough to eat.

Right?

I remember claims you could brush your teeth with the peppermint soap, but never tried it. I do buy their toothpaste, Anise is my favorite.

FWIW, it can be useful to come up with a schtick for yourself. For many years, we were known for giving ornaments to people. This gives you a broad range of price and allows you to go traditional, kitschy, crafty, or special interest as applies to the receiver in question.

Another option I did for years for long distance work colleagues was send from a local-to-us food company. There were a bunch of Midwestern-based stores I used over time. This works great if you’re sending to people in different parts of the country.

Another option is Penzey’s: https://www.penzeys.com Again you’ve got a range of price and options, and their politics are good. In the same vein, King Arthur Baking: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/

Anyone have or know of a simple, reliable drip coffee maker? The person I’m thinking of wants one that just works, with as little computer-chip gimmickry as possible.

For a single-serving one, I really like Hamilton Beach’s The Scoop.

Thanks, it’s promising, but this person is a um, pot drinker.

We had the simple old fashioned Mr. Coffee that was just an on/off switch, that was a workhorse for years until the hard water overwhelmed it, I think they still make those.

I bought one of these at Walmart two years ago. It works a treat, nothing fancy about it.
