They’ll put it up on blocks under a tarp painted like the Texas flag.
Under a tarp? You may be giving them too much credit. For decades the Houston space center kept their Saturn V rocket on display outdoors in a field with no protection whatsoever.
Because if there’s one thing Fetterman’s known for - it’s his dignified demeanor and presentation?
A lot of people will suffer because of this.
Yep. Absolutely… I guess they still have to reconcile it with the house? But I don’t see them not passing it again.
I hate this timeline.
Passage in the House will probably happen because the GOP are all cowards, but it isn’t a done deal yet. The version that went through the House prior to these changes was passed 215-214. There’s still a chance to fight back on this.
The House will finish this by Wednesday- So they can leave early for the Holiday.
Great. But a lot of the people that would help are about to lose their Medicaid anyway, so . . . kind of a phyrhic victory?
Also, screw Lisa Murkowski and Josh Hawley, both of whom said this bill contains unacceptable provisions but voted for it anyway.
For real… spineless cowards who make populist noises but are more concerned about the gravy train that is their seats than DOING THEIR GOD DAMN JOBS… And they seem to have forgotten that is serving their constituents, not doing whatever “dear leader” tells them to.
I always trusted Josh Hawley to do the wrong thing.
Sure, she voted for it, but it was “agonizing” for her. That poor, poor woman.

Also the fact that she voted for it then said this is all the more infuriating:
If only she had it within her power to keep this bill from heading to the President’s desk…
All they would have had to say is that it contains terms that the Senate parliamentarian had struck out, and that’s a line they won’t cross. They could have waxed poetical about tradition, or even blamed Democrats, as long as they voted against it. They had every opportunity and reason to vote against it.
But they didn’t, which means they actually did want to vote for it and all their mealy-mouthed objections mean less than nothing.
Mark Kelly knows a thing or three about dignity, service and support!
fuck fetterman!
It’s a terrible bill. It will literally kill people. The most vulnerable among us will suffer as the wealthiest benefit. It’s perverse. I wish there were something I could do. But alas, I am only a U.S. Senator from Alaska whose “no” vote would kill the bill. So I voted yes. You get it.
