Final Position: Right 1, Down 1.
This can be rotated, flipped, etc., but as long as you’re not in a corner, X = 2. If you’re in a corner, it’s impossible, and X = 4. I’d started by thinking of a corner, and then tried adding further complications.
No one I know owns a chessboard with eight queens. (Though you can buy sets with two queens per side).
I suppose recreational mathematics is ripe for a deconstruction.

For the time being, I’m boycotting, but I’m getting some conflicting info.
At this point, I don’t know what to do. I haven’t ordered anything from Amazon for a while, but I did just receive a book I pre-ordered months ago, and I don’t know if that helps or harms. 
I’m not boycotting, but I also don’t need to order anything from them, so that’s a null point. My family is, so my wife went looking elsewhere and found the new microwave she wanted $20 cheaper somewhere else. 
All the rich do is act on baseless whim.
