Took me a second…
We dodged the Bell Riots (for now); and the reunification of Ireland didn’t happen.
So - what does 2025 have in store for us?
He breaks the Jolting Joe record later.

DS9 will never get the love it deserves from most of the world… I still believe it’s the best trek of all… Yes even with…
I know that episode’s not well liked, but I never thought it was really that bad (it’s certainly no Threshhold from Voyager. ) The “just a game” might make it look a little silly in retrospect, but how’s it that different from the variety of “holodeck misadventure” plots we get? And it gives Quark some character development (negative and positive) that gets riffed off of one way or another throughout the series. It’s not a huge favorite of mine, but I like it okay.
ETA: plus this gif, which I got from Comrade Sisko on the twitters a while back:
I had to look “the Thaw” up on Memory Alpha; I still only vaguely remember seeing it. (It’s been a while since I’ve watched Voyager.)
but . . . but that’s Michael McKean!
I think he’s a great actor, but that doesn’t always mean we like the character or the story they’re in. (I hated his X-Files character, but I like him fine in other things.)
Threshhold is kinda infamous for being a strange story that didn’t quite gel the way the writers intended, like DS9’s Move Along Home or Beverly’s candle-ghost episode of TNG, which was why I brought it up. Fans love to joke and meme about them.
