Yeah, probably not… although you could do fading in and out as it winds around the station.
Not sure how I feel about him doing the audio book for Bill Gates…
OMG, what is this behind Cirroc Lofton, I LOVE it…
I remember that Lofton’s appearance changed drastically as he matured over the course of the series, and looking at him now, I would never guess he was Jake Sisko.
I can see that… he did a couple of DS9 fanfic videos with Alexander Siddig and other DS9 alum…
The doppler effect is nice
I think Strange New Worlds is doing okay? I’ve liked the clips I’ve seen.
Yeah, she likes that show for the most part (though she does have some criticism of the series)… but mostly, it’s about the argument that Rob Kazinsky made in an interview with Sean Ferrick recently, that Trek needs to bring in new fans if they expect any Trek to be around in a few years. I think this is the one she was referencing… I don’t know if there are spoilers for the section 31 film, but maybe:
I guess one of the big fan criticism of the film is that this is just a generic action film that makes Section 31 out to be a positive good in universe, rather than something that’s viewed with skepticism and concern (as we saw in DS9’s introduction of the organization). Of course the “generic sci-fi action pic” criticism was MY major problem with the reboot/Kelvin universe films. They are fine as generic sci-fi action films, but I don’t find it very… trekkie? If people enjoy them, great, but I don’t know if making star trek more “generic” is really going to bring in new fans, though, Maybe more people will watch them, but that’s not the same as “fans” I think…
[ETA] He does make some interesting points about the grayness of DS9 and the period we’re living through today and why star trek still matters.
When I watched clips of Discovery, it didn’t feel like Star Trek, but Strange New Worlds does; it has some of the campiness of the original series in some episodes, but does tackle some weighty issues too. Discovery seemed to be too much “We’re Doing Serious Stuff Here” and seemed a bit stiff.
Oh, I wish I had the mental wherewithal of Captain Picard. It would help.
