I really like and respect Robert Reich, but this still misses the point that overlooking T****’s bigotry and criminal actions is in itself bigotry. Those voters don’t get a pass for overlooking T****’s obvious bigotry in order to mistakenly assuage their own rage.
Also, we saw Trump in action. Whatever people thought he might shake up in 2016, this time around it should have been clear the only ones he wanted to take on were the little people. He had a billionaire doing jumping jacks at his side while he libeled poor Haitians. I don’t believe for a moment people thought he would punch up, they want him to kick down.
It does seem like the bull is in the China shop now, and any and all rules seem breakable. Hell, look at all the crimes AND convictions Tromp has already gotten away with.

A friend of mine was on the team that recovered the Jenny June documents when he worked at Drexel
Not so fun fact; Jonathan Ned Katz a prominent gay historian & transphobe first wrote about the the Cercle Hermaphroditos as the first gay rights organization.
It was transgender- I think he ignores it now as a first - not sure though. But it was the first LGBTQ org in the U.S.
Maybe still is.
Ugh… why is it so hard for some people to be inclusive… it seems even worse to me when it comes from another group that has a history of marginalization… I guess that’s where intersectionality comes in…some people will defend whatever little bit of privilege they have by some aspects of their identity and try to use it to pull themselves up by helping in the oppression of others… Don’t they understand by now that
But he was using language that delegitimized our existence & would often refer to what were obviously trans people in our community as gay - like “passing women”. Like what happened to Alan Hart.
