Yes, if. As long as the first-past-the-post, plurality-wins voting continues, things will inevitably converge into two parties. The best we can hope from Musk’s Party X is that it acts as a massive spoiler to the Republicans, letting Democrats reap seats that would otherwise be out of their reach.

He didn’t look happy to be doing that. He wasn’t smiling, or laughing, or anything. He looked like an annoyed dad who’s pissed his kid drained the battery again by playing the stereo with the car not running. In Mamdani’s videos that this is clearly trying to emulate, Mamdani is always smiling, and often laughing, and sincerely looking like he’s having a good time. Cuomo would clearly rather be talking to a room full of wealthy donors, or generating sound bites in front of a camera than doing this social media stuff.
