Of course the most important thing for actually being intelligent is not direct processing power, however that is supposed to be defined, but actually putting in the work to use it properly. Humanity has built up literal libraries of things people have already figured out, and people different from you will have different experiences you can and should learn from. Working together is what makes us smart.
Meanwhile there is a type of man (mostly) that instead believes a genius ought to ignore the inferiors and rederive everything themselves, and even when they’re otherwise clever they always end up with the stupidest things imaginable. Musk of course has given us tangible examples, like what happens when you thrrow out everything other people have figured out about trucks.

I’m reminded of when Elno “helped” to get ventilators into the US during covid, that turned out to be (broken) cpap machines, which would have been useless even if they weren’t broken. I imagine he similarly “helped” here, and the CEO was being… diplomatic, shall we say.

I have neurospicy folks in my family; they’re kind and considerate people, thoroughly unlike that hateful, racist, misogynistic, child-abandoning Nazi fuckwit bastard.
Being hateful to others, abuse, acting on bigotry, those are all deliberate choices. Mental illness and neurodivergence aren’t. The two are not the same.
And yes, I will die on that hill, if it comes to that.

Signed. I wonder if Charlie Angus is mulling over a run for leadership if Singh resigns, since the NDP are polling so dismally? Would he have the chops to be leader? They certainly need an old-fashioned firebrand, and he’s certainly that. I know he’s planning on retiring, but he’s only 62.
