Worked like a charm with Trump during his first presidency, didnât it.
âThis doesnât conflict with my interestsâŚâ
Stockholm University professor Christian Chistensen, from the US, was among those calling Musk out for his post.
âMusk amplifying lie that mainstream media arenât covering mass killing in #Sweden â falsely implying itâs because killer was an immigrant and woke media wonât say that â is a classic b******t strategy from the far-right. Basically: âThey wonât tell you the truthâŚbut we will.â
I think thatâs a very likely scenario⌠although, I think they also plan to use it to eliminate any benefits for anyone who oppose them. I think theyâll even use that information to not only purge people from the Federal government but to go after those of us who oppose them, in whatever way that they can.
All of this reminds me a lot of what old Czech people and polish people said it was like under the soviets.
There is a reason why Hannah Arendt lumped Stalinist Russia together with Nazi Germany⌠she wasnât wrong on that⌠authoritarianism is less about specific political orientation and more about a system of control.
Just like Trump and SCOTUS.
The immigrant community in Sweden was already being widely vilified and blamed for an increase in crime by right-wing local politicians, so I imagine that many were initially a little relieved* when the news came out that the perpetrator was a white guy who was born and raised in Sweden. But it hardly matters what the facts are because assholes like Musk are just going to lie and blame immigrants not matter what.
*(Given the magnitude of the tragedy maybe thereâs a better word than ârelievedâ that I just canât think of right now)
Too fucking true. Way too fucking trueâŚ
Fucking great. On the federal and state level, itâs gotten more difficult to even file class-action lawsuits. Cancer rates drastically increase in an area where regs were pulled on the affected areaâs water supply? A shorter life and defendentsâ long-game bullshit stalling and right-wing courts to look forward to.
People so sick that they canât afford their medical bills arenât buying Cybertrucks or paying for $250/month space internet, so whatâs the point?
Unplanned (or planned) obsolescence. Either way, Musk smiles and continues to enjoy Vandenbergâs launch facility.
The Italian government is consideringâŚ
Get ready to follow the money.
