Do you think that Musk knows what he ripped off is called Art Deco, though? Because in keeping with the Swasticar, we could always go with the Ku Klux Van.
Yes. Also, this is from The Onion.

Tesla kicked out of Vancouver International Auto Show over safety concerns at venue
Organizers in Canada concerned about keeping things safe and placid have decided to kick Tesla out of the 2025 Vancouver International Auto Show, following numerous acts of vandalism, protests and even arson against Elon Musk’s company.
‘The Big Short’ investor who predicted the 2008 crash warns the market is ‘underestimating’ the economic impact of DOGE’s mass spending cuts
I suppose the inconceivably large data dump from government servers of our private information must seem like (a) a mere extension of this Tesla practice; (b) having all your broligarch birthdays at once; (c) the next obviously monetizable big asset just in time to save Elno’s heavily leveraged empire, as shaky as it’s starting to appear.

I’m well aware that it’s not real. But in these trying times, when satire is dead, I expect fact checking from my satirical online comedy. The Onion is now my newspaper of record.
Basically as far back as 9/11 they’ve had better and more insightful comments on pretty much anything going on in American politics than NYT, WaPo, and all the other usual suspects.
SpaceX’s packed rocket launch schedule may get in the way of beach days. If the company succeeds in turning its launch site into an official city, SpaceX could assume full control over road and beach closures in Boca Chica, Texas.
Texas lawmakers filed legislation that would effectively grant SpaceX officials sole authority to close down roads and public beaches near the Starbase launch site in South Texas for rocket launches, ground testing, or other related activities during the week, the Houston Chronicle reported. The legislation could become effective depending on an upcoming vote to decide whether to turn Starbase into a city.

those beaches are the nesting ground for many endangered sea turtles. also migratory shorebirds, even flamingos.
leon doesn’t give a shit.
They’ve been messing up the environment around “Starbase” for years. It’s in a protected area, but who cares. There’s a guy who monitors it; his name eludes me at the moment, but there should be a link in the “Criticizing Starship” video(s) I posted above.
It’s a free country. They can start their own space program.
So the argument is: Musk is going to be auditing the Pentagon’s spending, so he has to know what they’re going to use all their toys for, which means, theoretically, all potential war strategies. Which is insane/hilarious, as if Elon understands anything about the military and how it works any better than any of the other systems he’s breaking. (Also of course the massive security implications, etc.)
Yeah, I don’t know if Trump/Musk is prepared for the level of pushback he’s going to get as he tries to ignorantly muck around with the functioning of this particular federal department…
Seems very much like a non-denial denial from Trump. “Elon’s going to the Pentagon tomorrow for initial discussions about how he’s going to get information on all the weapons and expected strategies using them, so he can make uninformed decisions about their budget. We’re not going to specifically talk about China (though ultimately information relevant to China would be part of it), at least not tomorrow, anyways.” (And that’s leaving aside that Trump frequently issues non-denial denials that turn out to be absolutely lies, even within the highly narrow set of facts he denies.)
Hmm, your company has problems with vandalism, so the new strategy is to go “all in” on self-driving (not actually), i.e. unattended taxis, that are clearly branded as your cars. Yeah, I don’t see those becoming magnets for vandalism at all. Genius move, sir!
