A problem with the frunk puts it into a mode where it has to be hauled to the dealer? What an utter piece of shit design.
I do finally have to give Cybertrucks one point of credit though – right now Fortnite is doing a Star Wars season, and they both fit perfectly as some kind of crappy imperial transport and make great targets for starfighters.
Maybe the reasoning was that if the car doesn’t think the frunk is closed then there’s a risk of it flying open on the freeway and blocking the driver’s view. On most cars there’s a 2-step mechanism to open the hood so that no single point failure can cause it to open and there’s no reason to monitor it, but it sounds like the Cybertruck came up with an “innovative” new design that’s one sensor fault away from a potentially deadly scenario.
I like how the article reassures readers that some 8 yo boys think the cybertruck is really cool.
I hadn’t really seen it so blatantly articulated that the cybertruck is for older men who really want little boys to be impressed by them I guess?
But… It tracks.
They’ve got frunk in the tunk.
Elon is the problem, yes, but because of him Cybertrucks are also the problem.
Elon is the first piece of shit they should dump, and the CT is the second.
