Given this is self-reported, I have no doubt that for this 50% of Tesla owners that say their car has been damaged “intentionally”, at least 99% of them are full of shit.
How can someone know if their car was “intentionally” damaged unless they see someone doing it? What is considered “intentional” damage? A door ding or scratch in a parking lot (that could easily be explained away as carelessness), or someone spraypainting “SWASTICAR” on their Cybertruck? I really feel like the reports of Teslas being vandalized are largely overblown by right-wing agitators.

Teslas have cameras that are on and recording while the vehicle is locked. That can help the driver sort out accidents from malfeasance
