Elon Musk on Political Spending:1Think I’ve Done Enough
At the Qatar Economic Forum, Elon Musk and Mishal Husain talk about the Tesla backlash, AI regulation and DOGE’s Success rate.
I find myself extremely skeptical of his “I’m done now” talk.
Somebody with his ego isn’t likely to walk away from a position of power and prestige; I think it’s far more likely he’ll retreat to the shadows and try to pull strings from there until criticism subsides and he’s bold enough to try going public again.
On the other hand… his DOGE puppets have probably stolen all the data he wanted by now, and if he leaves enough minions in place to get what he wants, he might be bored enough (at our expense ) to move on to the next obsession… or not. I can’t really understand how villains like him “think.”
Yeah I think he played his part, got what he wanted, and it was always the plan to have vought take over and musk go back to life as a billionaire playboy curating a parade of dicks for mars.
Don’t care though. Nothing I can do about my data or my country but it will be a cold day in hell when I voluntarily buy a product from one of his companies.
Honestly I would be extremely skeptical if he said he’s eaten a sandwich. Every one of his comments should be prefixed with the reminder out that he is constantly dishonest. “Elon Musk says” means you can throw the rest of the sentence away.
Musk’s tenure wasn’t a total failure, according to former federal employees. He had managed to force out some of the federal workforce and shutter agencies (while “traumatizing the employees who remain,” The Atlantic reported).
“He had some missteps in all of these agencies, which would have been fine because everyone acknowledges that when you’re moving fast and breaking things, not everything is going to go right.
Apparently some things got broken. Who’da thunk it?
several senior Trump officials practically hated the tech billionaire, finding him abrasive, unfunny, and pompous—with some describing Musk as the “most irritating person” they’d “ever had to deal with.”
These are people who work with Trump and they hated Musk even more? Wow.
Elon just thinks he’s smarter than everyone else in the room and acts like it, even when it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
My boss at a former job was exactly like that. In fact, a few times he literally told us he was smarter than everyone else – he was the only person capable of understanding The Matrix for instance. He probably originally idolized Musk, then hated him out of jealousy, then took great smug satisfaction in his failures because it proves he’s the smarter one
