I find TPMās take to be disturbingly plausible; it really is worse than it seems, and itās going to get ugly:
Trump is following. Heās trying to pretend otherwise but heās following. And unlike all of Trumpās other bad hires or hires he gets tired of, he canāt just shitcan Musk like all the rest. Musk is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Heās got a bigger megaphone. And heās got his own brand. Iām pretty sure there will eventually be a really big and really ugly falling out between the two of them. But it will take a while to get there and the costs are potentially quite large for both of them.

Iāve been trying to tell people around me that he is the most dangerous person on the planet for a long time now, and not just due to his wealth. All of his industries and his love of sci-fi dystopias/villains in those stories combined with his connection to the incoming administration really worries me for the future.
That the person who had xitterās algorithm altered when someone else got more likes than he did is in charge of the brain chips (that horrifically injured the primates tested on), and has an open disregard for regulations has this support is one of the things that makes me feel sick to my stomach when I think about what the future holds. People around me think Iām over-reacting, but all the things that the husk has his hands in combined with what Project 2025 wants to do really concerns me for whatās in store.
Iām glad to be someone fascists want dead, you couldnāt give me a higher compliment, and I look forward to furthering that by standing against them; but when I think of what is to come in the immediate future I canāt help but feel an overwhelming sadness.

Iirc what led to the extremity of the great depression was the sheer economic rape that occured in the power vacuum of a weak and corrupt government. Trump is weak and corrupt.
