How can AI control how warm a bed is? Does it control the thickness of the blankets?
- Take an electric blanket.
- Put it under control of an AI.
- Sell access to a physical override as an upgrade.
- ???
- Profit!
who in the fuck is dumb enough to get an AI controlled bed?
Apparently not enough people watched the 1991 anime classic Roujin Z.
Theo-t3.gg, apparently.
Pretty sure wonderboy Tim Ferris is pushing it
Extra seconds? Oh, the horror.
Sounds like those upset drivers need a nappy nap
TPTB said this
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: "It is vitally important that children learn to cross the road safely, concentrating without any distractions, walking carefully and being vigilant of the traffic.
"In this particular case, one of our officers spoke with this crossing patrol and simply reminded them of the need not to have distractions while children are crossing.
The whole point of having an adult crossing guard/lollipop man is so that an adult is paying attention because children WILL get distracted. Cars shouldn’t take precedent over pedestrians, let alone children going to and from school (which is usually marked by multiple signs as well). The drivers are the ones who need to be vigilant, but they aren’t; hence, the highly visible lollipop.
Dammit. One of the sites I keep up with on RSS, adventure is my preferred genre.

How much mail storage is included with my account?
New Yahoo Mail currently includes 20 GB of free storage with every account, perfect for everyday use.
Looking for even more space and features? Yahoo Mail Plus offers 200 GB of storage, plus premium features like an ad-free inbox, enhanced privacy controls, and priority customer care.
Still better than Gmail’s default, but it’s… a trend.
I use Yahoo as my primary email and i got an email from them this morning detailing the changes. Overall i don’t think it’ll impact me because i’m not sending/receiving files there typically, just regular ol’ emails so me hitting the cap would take a lot of effort.
Still the change is not a positive one, even though they are trying to frame it that way. I would normally pivot to gmail but with Google’s shenanigans i’ve been left wondering if i should look at getting a new email from somewhere else.
Edit: to clarify i do have gmail but i don’t use it a ton.
If we assume a power function with a vertical asymptote at 2007, free Yahoo mail accounts will be back at 1GB of storage by 2045.
Def worth considering. I would hate to have one more thing to pay for, but my email has never had to do a lot of heavy lifting so i can probably get away with the free tier.
I’ve done a free trial of Fastmail. Used it for a work project actually, where I needed to test sending emails to a catchall that I controlled (under my own domain). It seems ok to me too. I haven’t bought in yet. Do you (or anyone else) have any opinions on Fastmail vs Proton?
I like that they don’t require a credit card or any commitment to do a trial. And that it’s easy to set up to use your domain and a catchall. Because that was what I needed in the moment. I wasn’t really looking much beyond that.
