Not only must parents provide shelter, food, safety and love, but now they actually have to refrain from committing violent felony offenses that would land them in prison if committed against an adult stranger.

Oh, don’t get me started on what you’re not allowed to do to other adults. It used to be that duels were just part of life. Now you can’t even punch someone out of your way without it being a “crime”. It’s no wonder the younger generation are too scared to have kids, which they definitely are, it’s not a result of economics that make it impossible for them at all.
I didn’t really know about the whole “therapy culture” grievance before but it looks like such luminaries as David Brooks have been complaining about it for a while. All these selfish, selfish kids trying to look after their own mental health, instead of just sucking it up and developing drinking problems, I guess.
