While almost everyone in spain has a friend affected by the surge storm, most conservative newspapers decided to open with a filler article about a -probably fake, as all the other charges- new charge against the president’s wife.

Then they ask themselves why we are not subscribing anymore…

(ABC, La Razón and El Mundo are traditionally conservative newspapers, el País is center/moderate)

And Vox supported false equivalency to argue that people who are in fear that they (or others) will be harmed or killed ‘hate’ the other side similarly to the way that side objectively hates them and wants to kill them.
